Objectives for this section

  • To be able to explain why literacy, numeracy and digital literacy skills are central to modern educational practice.
  • To be able to identify effective methods through which to develop and support learners' literacy, numeracy and digital literacy skills.
  • To understand the potential barriers to engagement with literacy, numeracy and digital literacy and be able to form strategies to circumvent these with learners in practice.
